Natural Fertility Support
Holland Park, Camp Hill, Mount Gravatt, Brisbane
Even though many women blame themselves for infertility, in reality very few women are actually clinically infertile - most women and their partners are simply not physically and emotionally in full reproductive balance. This may present as issues conceiving or through recurrent miscarriages.
At Lang Acupuncture and Holistic Health, we are passionate about supporting women and their partners through the fertility journey. At our Holland Park acupuncture clinic we approach infertility holistically. In order to help support you through your fertility journey, we focus on an integrative approach that incorporates the mind-body philosophies of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with the understanding of Western medicine physiological requirements.

The goal is to work harmoniously with the mind and body to create an equilibrium, conducive for conception. Our focus is to support, regulate and build your bodies up to their healthiest state and provide a nourishing environment to support a baby to full term. This process requires investigations to determine why your body is presenting the way it is, followed by the incorporation of lifestyle changes and appropriate healthcare interventions to support the body back to balance.

At Lang Acupuncture we believe that having a clearer understanding of how to support your body allows you to have a clearer understanding of what actions will be needed to reach your health goals. We aim to support you through this process by:

-
Assessing your body from a Traditional Chinese Medicine framework and incorporating acupuncture (and potentially Chinese herbs) into your treatment plan to support your body.
-
Investigating any underlying deficiencies that may be contributing to infertility
-
Helping you understand how a healthy menstrual cycle should present. If your menstrual cycle is not considered 'healthy', we will guide you through different methods to get your cycle as regulated as possible. A healthy menstrual cycle is the basis of healthy conception afterall.
-
Guiding you through the process of Basal Body Temperature (BBT) charting as a means to help you understand your fertile window and to further understand any underlying imbalances.

"Nourish the soil, before planting the seed"
Working With Other Health Conditions
A diagnosis of PCOS, endometriosis, amenorrhoea (no periods) and other inflammatory, autoimmune or hormonal health conditions can lead women to have difficulty in imagining themselves being able to easily conceive. At Lang Acupuncture, we always encourage couples who do have these underlying conditions to have full investigations to ensure no underlying issues are preventing conception. This can ensure that any issues can be detected early on in the process and addressed immediately.

Even in those who do not present with conditions specifically associated with the reproductive organs, its important to consider the body as a whole. Therefore any digestive imbalances, stress and anxiety, overworking, nutritional factors, emotional imbalances and other medical conditions would need to be considered and addressed in addition to performing fertility acupuncture.

Health conditions which may impact your natural fertility include:

-
Annovulation/irregular ovulation
-
Irregular menstrual cycles
-
Low ovarian reserve (AMH)
-
amenorrhoea (absent periods)
-
Luteal phase defect

Male Fertility
It takes two to make a baby!
When undergoing fertility support, the male side of the equation is often dismissed. This can be a fustrating experience when the female does the work on balancing her body for months and months only to find the male factors to be contributing to the infertility. This is why we always recommend both sides of the partnership to undergo investigative testing prior to beginning to try to conceive. Both parties are each welcome to book in for fertility acupuncture or support!
